This CPD course contains materials that consider the following aspects of notarial instructions for company and business clients:
- the CRO and other online sources of information about Irish businesses
- the information filed at the CRO – reliable or unreliable?
- understanding ownership and management structures
- a brief consideration of the features of different types of business
- corporate recovery and insolvency
- the execution of deeds by bodies corporation and the concept of the common seal
- the execution of deeds by partners in a partnership that lacks corporate personality
There is also a worked example of a notarial instruction to authenticate a power of attorney issued by a company.
Online quizzes test retention of knowledge from the course notes.
The practical tasks for small-group discussions in Dublin on 12th June are introduced so that you can prepare effectively.
